About Us

Location & Hours

The TLC is located on the lower level of the University Library in Room 014, immediately adjacent to the main computer lab. It is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Samford faculty and staff are welcome to use the facilities any time we are open, but if you think you will need assistance, we recommend that you make an appointment so that we can schedule someone to work with you.

Staff

Joe Zellner (205) 726-2108
University Library Room 014a

In 2004, Joe joined the TLC as an Academic Technology Specialist, after having supported the Academic Computing Labs for over a year. Prior to that, he worked in the arts for fifteen years. He has a B.A. degree in Theatre from St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA, and several IT certifications. During his free time, Joe's right brain continues to enjoy live musical theatre, where he sometimes spends his evenings as a sound designer, while his left brain enjoys IT consulting and his obsessive-compulsive genealogy hobby.

Student Workers

We could not provide the services we do without our student workers. Each semester, we hire several students to assist faculty in the TLC and set up equipment in various locations around the campus. Please check the employment page if you are a student interested in working with us.
