My name is Ashley Dance and I am a junior Journalism and Mass Communication Major at Samford Univeristy in Birmingham, Alabama. I am originally from Nashville, Tennessee and attended David Lipscomb High School.

I am interested in broadcast journalism and public relations.

I am a competitive member of Samford's varsity Track and Field Team. As a sophomore, I was named to the all-conference team in the OVC in the 400-meter dash.

My most valuable journalism experience so far was an internship with the alternative radio station in Nashville, Lightning 100. I recorded liners, wrote commercial spots for the station, organized and cataloged previous shows for "Music Business Radio," and reviewed and organized CDs for the "Local Lightning Spotlight."

I discovered I have a knack for handling people by working at Zoe's Kitchen in Nashville this summer as well.

I love Tennessee Titans Football and Olympic gymnastics. I was a level 9 gymnast myself.
