I am a junior journalism and mass communications major and history minor at Samford University. I hope to one day work for a newspaper or magazine as a photojournalist.
At Samford, I am involved in several student publications, including The Samford Crimson newspaper and Entre Nous yearbook, in which I have served as photo editor of both. I have also had my photographs published in Samford’s Sojourn literary arts magazine and Engage, a student-produced magazine on faith and culture. I attend a weekly, on-campus prayer meeting and am involved with the college group at Fullness Christian Fellowship.
Born and raised in Birmingham, I have always taken a special interest in the Civil Rights Movement and have a heart to see racial reconciliation in the city and throughout Alabama. I am involved in the Birmingham Prayer Furnace, a group of young adults who desire to see night and day prayer established in the city through unbroken prayer and worship.
I enjoy playing mandolin, reading literary classics and poetry and drinking a good cup of coffee. I hope to one day travel the world and Birmingham, telling people’s stories through my photos.
