Samford University is now offering Wireless Network access at a number of locations on campus. This service provides students and employees the convenience and flexibility of using portable computing devices at non-traditional locations around campus.
There are two different Wireless Networks available for use. One is named SamfordWireless and the other is named SamfordSecure. The differences between the two are explained below:
SamfordWireless- This network does not require a login or special setup on your computer. This wireless network will allow you to use Samford services such as the Samford Portal and Samford Email. [Note: this network does not allow access to the outside Internet.] To connect to SamfordWireless, simply choose it from your list of available wireless networks.
SamfordSecure- This network requires you to authenticate by entering in your Samford User Name and Samford Password. By connecting to this wireless network you can reach the outside Internet.

XpressConnect is compatible with the following Operating Systems:
Windows: XP, Vista, 7
Mac OS: Tiger, Leopard, Snow Leopard
