Responsible Printing Initiative PDF Print E-mail

To regain reasonable control of our printing costs and to reduce waste, Samford Technology Services has installed a print-management system called GoPrint in all public computer labs, the libraries, and some departmental labs.

Student Printing

Each semester, Samford students will receive 50 print points (30 during Summer/January terms) which is equivalent to 500 black and white single-sided pages. Each semester, this amount will reset. Your printing quota's balance will not roll over. When you print at one of the locations configured to use print management, you will be presented with a pop-up asking for your Samford User Name and Samford Password.

Once you submit your credentials, you can place a check mark next to the job you want to print. After you select the jobs you wish to print, GoPrint will display, in the Transaction Summary box, the amount of your quota that will be charged to print the selected print jobs.

Once you are satisfied with the settings, click Pay and print in the Transaction Summary box.

Guest Printing

If you are a guest and need to print, you can purchase a copy card and use the GoPrint release station on the 1st floor of the library. Once you print your pages, you can walk over to that release station and pay for the print job using your copy card.
