The Technology Services Help Desk gives students the network support they need to access the resources required for academic achievement.  If you need technical assistance, the Help Desk is available to assist and would like to hear from you.

 

Below you will find answers to common questions and how to get help.

 

Q.  Will someone be available to help if I have computer problems?

A.  Technicians are available in freshman residence halls during Fall move-in to assist with in-room setup of computers and to answer questions.  After move-in, phone support is provided Monday--Friday, 7am--7pm, at extension 2662.  This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it   is also available anytime.

 

Q.  What does the Help Desk support?

A.  The help desk supports ethernet card configuration and  problems relating to network connectivity for Windows XP/Vista and Macintosh systems.  Technicians are not trained or required to support other operating systems or other hardware such as scanners, printers, memory, video cards, and sound cards.  However, many technicians are skilled in these areas and are willing to help with those types of problems if their schedule allows.  Priority will be given to students with network and connectivity issues during the week students move in.

 

Q.  What if I misplace my user name and password?

A.  Bring a picture ID to Brooks Hall 329 Monday--Friday between 8am and 5pm.
