Photography I: Basic

Wednesdays, October 16-December 4  6-8PM  *no class November 27

Location: Cooney Hall 239

Instructor: Mike Nelson

This course is designed to cover all aspects of beginning photography. You will learn proper exposure and appropriate use of shutter speed and aperture as well as lens choices and lighting options. You will learn many methods for creating strong compositions. This course will teach you how to create beautiful images - not just snap photos. Ages 18+

Prerequisites: Understanding Your Canon/Nikon/Sony DSLR 

Equipment Needed: DSLR Camera

Directions from I-65:

Take exit 255, Lakeshore Drive. From the north, turn left; from the south, turn right. Continue on Lakeshore Drive for 2 miles, and turn left into Samford University’s main gate. Then take the first right. Continue past Propst Hall, 2 stop signs. Cooney Hall (Business) will be on your left. Park in any available space.

Directions from US-31 and US-280:

Exit onto Lakeshore Drive, going west. Continue on Lakeshore, and turn right into Samford University’s main gate. Then take the first right. Continue past Propst Hall, 2 stop signs. Cooney Hall (Business) will be on your left. Park in any available space.

You will be allowed to park anywhere except Handicap Spaces and Fire Lanes.  No parking permit is required after 5pm.
