Photography I: Basic
Tuesdays, March 11-April 29 *no class March 25

Building on the intro classes, this course is designed to help you take more effective images using the capabilities of your DSLR or mirrorless camera. Increase your understanding of photographic technique and composition. Topics covered include exposure, selecting the appropriate aperture, shutter speed techniques, lighting, basic principles of framing and composition. Ages 17+
Equipment needed - Interchangeable lens camera (DSLR or Mirrorless)
Prerequisite: Understanding Your Canon, Nikon, or Sony Camera
Directions from I-65:
Take exit 255, Lakeshore Drive. From the north, turn left; from the south, turn right. Continue on Lakeshore Drive for 2 miles, and turn left into Samford University’s main gate. Then take the first right. Continue past Propst Hall, 2 stop signs. Cooney Hall 229 (Business) will be on your left. Park in any available space.
Directions from US-31 and US-280:
Exit onto Lakeshore Drive, going west. Continue on Lakeshore, and turn right into Samford University’s main gate. Then take the first right. Continue past Propst Hall, 2 stop signs. Cooney Hall 229 (Business) will be on your left. Park in any available space.
You will be allowed to park anywhere except Handicap Spaces and Fire Lanes. No parking permit is required after 5pm.
