Art For Home Schoolers (Ages 8-14)
Wednesdays, March 5-April 23 *no class March 26
12:30-2:00 PM
Location: Academy of the Arts Room 135
Instructor: Laurie Knowles
Students will learn about famous artists and create art inspired by their work. The class will also study various art concepts and use different mediums to practice these concepts. The goal of this class to help students gain an appreciation of art and to instill a love of creating! Tuition includes supplies. Maximum 10 students.
Directions From I-65:
Take exit 255, Lakeshore Drive. From the north, turn left; from the south, turn right. Continue on Lakeshore Drive for about 2 miles. Go past Samford University’s main gate to the next stop light. Take a right onto Old Montgomery Highway, then the next right onto S. Lakeshore Drive. We are on the right side of the road, across from the Covenant Presbyterian Church.
Directions From US-31 and US-280:
Exit onto Lakeshore Drive, going west. Turn left at the stop light onto Old Montgomery Highway (it is just west of 31), then the next right onto S. Lakeshore Drive. We are on the right side of the road, across from the Covenant Presbyterian Church.
Parking:
You will be allowed to park anywhere except Handicap Spaces and Fire Lanes. No parking permit is required.
