Holiday Lights

Ages 18+

Explore Photography Techniques for star trails, star points, light painting, and holiday displays. 

Prerequisites: Understanding Your Canon/Nikon DSLR or mirrorless camera, Photography I.  More opportunities for Night-Time Low Light students!

Equipment: digital camera, changeable lenses, tripod, flashlight, strobe light, intervalometer, shutter cable, footwear suitable for uneven ground at night, and thumb drive to submit photos in class. 

Directions from I-65:

Take exit 255, Lakeshore Drive. From the north, turn left; from the south, turn right. Continue on Lakeshore Drive for 2 miles, and turn left into Samford University’s main gate. Then take the first right.  Continue past Propst Hall, 2 stop signs. Cooney Hall (Business) will be on your left. Park in any available space.  ROOM 279

Directions from US-31 and US-280:

Exit onto Lakeshore Drive, going west. Continue on Lakeshore, and turn right into Samford University’s main gate. Then take the first right. Continue past Propst Hall, 2 stop signs. Cooney Hall (Business) will be on your left. Park in any available space.  ROOM 279

Parking:

You will be allowed to park anywhere except Handicap Spaces and Fire Lanes.  No parking permit is required after 5pm.
