Painting for Adults: Watercolors

Academy of the Arts

This class will introduce you to the world of watercolor painting. It is perfect for beginners and continuing students looking to improve their skills. By the end of this course you will be well equipped to start achieving your watercolor dreams.

In this class you will learn: All about watercolors— the best brands to use, the right kind of brushes and paper, different mark-making techniques, composition, and how to use the different elements of art to your advantage while practicing the watercolor medium.

Ages 18+ Cost: $310 (includes supplies) *Limited to 10 students

Directions From I-65:

Take exit 255, Lakeshore Drive. From the north, turn left; from the south, turn right. Continue on Lakeshore Drive for about 2 miles. Go past Samford University’s main gate to the next stop light. Take a right onto Old Montgomery Highway, then the next right onto S. Lakeshore Drive. We are on the right side of the road, across from the Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Directions From US-31 and US-280:

Exit onto Lakeshore Drive, going west. Turn left at the stop light onto Old Montgomery Highway (it is just west of 31), then the next right onto S. Lakeshore Drive. We are on the right side of the road, across from the Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Parking:

You will be allowed to park anywhere except Handicap Spaces and Fire Lanes. No parking permit is required.
