Photographing Creatures: Exotic & Domestic

Location: Cooney Hall 229/Field Trips
Instructor: Meg McKinney
Learn tips and techniques to photographing domestic and exotic creatures, to include pet portraiture (studio rental approx. $10/student); field trips may include – dog agility event, horse show, a farm, the Birmingham Zoo (admission $19.95 adult), Alabama Safari Park (admission $24.95 adult), a rodeo (admission $15-25). Field trips scheduled at first class. Ages 18+
No tag-along’s permitted, such as family or friends, unless student has a disability and needs assistance, and kindly discuss with instructor prior to field trip.
Prerequisite: Understanding Your Canon/Nikon/Sony; Photography I Equipment Required: DSLR Camera, tripod
Directions from I-65:
Take exit 255, Lakeshore Drive. From the north, turn left; from the south, turn right. Continue on Lakeshore Drive for 2 miles, and turn left into Samford University’s main gate. Then take the first right. Continue past Propst Hall, 2 stop signs. Cooney Hall 229 (Business) will be on your left. Park in any available space.
Directions from US-31 and US-280:
Exit onto Lakeshore Drive, going west. Continue on Lakeshore, and turn right into Samford University’s main gate. Then take the first right. Continue past Propst Hall, 2 stop signs. Cooney Hall 229 (Business) will be on your left. Park in any available space.
Parking:
You will be allowed to park anywhere except Handicap Spaces and Fire Lanes. No parking permit is required after 5pm.
