Strings Camp July 27-31, 2026 8AM - 12:30PM Grades 1-8

Location: Academy of the Arts, Samford University

$345 Tuition includes T-shirt and ensemble music. Maximum 20 students. Students must bring their own snacks.

Strings Camp is a week-long camp for violin, viola, and cello students to learn and perform music with other musicians. Campers will have daily private lessons, chamber ensemble, and full group rehearsals each day, as well as classes in theory and music literature, culminating in a final concert on the last day of camp.

Students must have completed a MINIMUM of four lessons and have their own instrument.

We will not offer early drop-off or late pick-up. More details will be sent closer to camp start date via email.

Directions From I-65: Take exit 255, Lakeshore Drive. From the north, turn left; from the south, turn right. Continue on Lakeshore Drive for about 2 miles. Go past Samford University’s main gate to the next stop light. Take a right onto Old Montgomery Highway, then the next right onto S. Lakeshore Drive. We are on the right side of the road, across from the Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Directions From US-31 and US-280: Exit onto Lakeshore Drive, going west. Turn left at the stop light onto Old Montgomery Highway (it is just west of 31), then the next right onto S. Lakeshore Drive. We are on the right side of the road, across from the Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Parking: You will be allowed to park anywhere except Handicap Spaces and Fire Lanes. No parking permit is required.
