Explore Photography Techniques for star trails, star points, light painting, and holiday displays.

Prerequisites: Understanding Your Canon/Nikon DSLR or mirrorless camera, Photography I. More opportunities for Night-Time Low Light students!

Equipment: digital camera, changeable lenses, tripod, flashlight, strobe light, intervalometer, shutter cable, footwear suitable for uneven ground at night, and thumb drive to submit photos in class.

Directions from I-65:

Take exit 255, Lakeshore Drive. From the north, turn left; from the south, turn right. Continue on Lakeshore Drive for 2 miles, and turn left into Samford University’s main gate. Then take the first right. Propst Hall is the first building on your right.

Directions from US-31 and US-280:

Exit onto Lakeshore Drive, going west. Continue on Lakeshore, and turn right into Samford University’s main gate. Then take the first right. Propst Hall is the first building on your right.

Parking:

You will be allowed to park anywhere except Handicap Spaces and Fire Lanes. No parking permit is required after 5pm.
